Terms of use (beta)
Last updated 1 November 2026.
Beta promise
Takt is free for you for 90 days from the day you join. Here is what you can count on during the beta.
- Free for 90 days. No card needed. If Takt becomes a paid product, beta testers get a founder price, and nobody is charged without saying yes first.
- 30 days' notice. If the beta ends early, or anything changes that affects you, you hear by email at least 30 days ahead.
- Your data stays yours. Your projects are private to your workspace. Nobody outside it sees them, and we never sell them or use them to train AI models.
- Export any time. Settings › Data and backup › Export all data downloads everything in one file.
- Delete any time. The workspace owner can delete the workspace in Settings. It is gone at once, and gone from backups within 30 days.
- It is a beta. Expect rough edges and the odd outage. Takt is backed up daily, but keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
- Tell us what breaks. Use Help › Send feedback, or write to hello@takt-labs.com.
Terms
These terms are between you and Takt-Labs LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("we"), which runs Takt.
- Who can use Takt. You must be 18 or older and invited. You use Takt for your own work or your employer's; if you use it for an employer, you confirm you may put that work in Takt.
- Your account. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@takt-labs.com if you think someone else got in.
- Your content. What you put in Takt stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, back up and show it to the people in your workspace. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
- Workspace owners. The owner invites and removes people, sets Editor and Viewer roles, and can export or delete the workspace. Deleting it removes everyone's access to it.
- Fair use. Don't break the law with Takt, try to get into other workspaces, overload the service, or resell it.
- Free beta. Takt is free for 90 days from the day you join. We may end the beta or change Takt with 30 days' notice by email. Before any paid plan starts, you choose whether to pay; nothing renews or charges by default.
- No warranty. Takt is a beta and is provided "as is". We try hard to keep it running and backed up, but we don't promise it is error-free or always available.
- Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to $100.
- Ending. You can stop any time and delete your workspace. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA.
